One of the greatest things that has ever happened to DEVOTED, says manager Edmund Bullock, is Arletha Leaston Gill.  She's a cousin, a sister, and a best friend to Edmund and Gisela.

Arletha started out with the Ministry, not as a member but, as a helper.  She, and her husband and children, helped in any way they could: driving, setting up PA equipment, tearing down PA equipment, taping down wiring, manning the merchandise table, joining in prayer for seeking audience members... whatever.

The one thing Arletha wouldn't do was sing.  It was almost impossible to get her up on stage.  Then, one day, for one event, she sang, and it all just clicked.  It was right.  Ever since then, she has been DEVOTED.

Arletha's strong, vibrant alto can be heard especially in the vocal interlude on Not Just Emotion (the POWER album).  She has also begun writing songs (hear her composition Think of That by the Sons of the Bullock Brothers on our Mount Calvary EAGLE Records page).

Arletha is a hard-working, dedicated wife and mother who has experienced the grace and love of Jesus Christ in a special way.  She enjoys her walk with Him, and exhibits a strong faith and trust in the power of prayer and praise.

Arletha has a wonderful sense of humor, a clever wit, an easy smile and a natural gift for putting people at ease.  A credit to DEVOTED, she also sings alto in the choir at The Mount Calvary Baptist Church, Boston.  She works as a registered nurse at a Boston hospital.

Favorite Bible Verses, Psalm 23:

The Lord is my shepherd: I shall not want.  He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters.  He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake.  Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me.  Thou prepares a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.  Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
